Obituary

Judy Coblentz Ramm, age 83 of Fremont, was raised into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her home. Judy was born on April 27, 1934 in Detroit to Onie and Florence (Nifer) Coblentz and later married Richard Ramm on August 27, 1955. Judy graduated from Western Michigan University with a teaching degree and Judy and Dick moved to Fremont where they both became teachers in the Fremont Public School system. Judy later became a window display designer at Graichen's Women's Store in Fremont for over 20 years until her retirement in 1992. Judy was an active member of the First Congregational Church where she had served as Church Moderator, Senior Program co-director with her husband for 12 years, was co-youth director to the church Christian traveling seminar bus trips for 12 years and and was a member of the church Woman's Book Circle. Judy had also been a volunteer with the Friends of the Library in Fremont for many years, enjoyed traveling and working in the National Parks throughout the United States and enjoyed spending winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Judy was also known for her flower garden and water color paintings. Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dick of Fremont; her daughters, Susan (Steve) Brizzolara of Grand Rapids; Mary Beth Ramm of Plainwell; her brother, John (Cathy) Coblentz of Walla Walla, Washington; several nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Joan Violante.

MEMORIAL SERVICES : Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 11am at the First Congregational Church 721 Hillcrest Fremont MI 49412 with Rev. Ray Dekker presiding. INTERMENT : First Congregational Church Memorial Garden. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Truenorth or First Congregational Church.
