Rottman, Julius E. Julius Jupe E. Rottman, age 83, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Jupe was born on February 17, 1922 in Fremont to George and Sena (Freye) Rottman and married Theresa Herring on June 10, 1989. He owned and operated Rottman Auto Service until retirement. He served during World War II in the Unites States Army and was a life member of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249. He joined the Fremont Fire Department in 1967 and served as chief from 1980 1983 and retired from the fire department in 1983. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1555 and a member of the Newaygo County Sheriffs Posse. He is survived by his wife, Therese of Fremont; his children, Bob (Sharon) Rottman of Fremont; Dave Rottman of Fremont; Barb Waybill of Fremont; daughter-in-law, Paula Camara; Marcia Herring of Muskegon; Kathy (Randy) Daniels of Hesperia; Sharon (Andy) Pell of Fremont; Barb Herring of Fremont; Bill (Lisa) Herring of Holton; Tom Herring of Holton; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria (Carl) Beeler of Fremont; Charlotte Lubbers of Muskegon; brothers, Herb (Doris) Rottman of Fremont; Stuart (Jackie) Rottman of Fremont; Len (Jean) Rottman of Newaygo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris; his sister, Katy Boeskool; daughter, Darlene Herring. Funeral services were held on Friday, May 27, 2005 from the Holton United Methodist Church with Rev. Kenneth Bremer presiding with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
