Kandy Kay Kukla, age 66 of Fremont, passed away after a long battle with MS and pancreatic cancer on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Kandy was born on November 1, 1957 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Harry Kukla and Mary (Wade) Hoekstra, and was a member of the Newaygo County area for over 30 years. Kandy loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed doing crafts with her family. Many of her crafting activities included making wreaths and home decorations such as gnomes.

Kandy is survived by her children Kandy (Donovan) Norris, Russell Norvell, Justin Jazwinski, Elizabeth and Kristin Bekius; grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Norvell, Keyanna Norvell, Mikayla (Theron) Blake, Brianna (Joey) Cherneski, Jamyre Norris, Stosh Jazwinski, Adrianna Jazwinski; great grandchildren, Kylie, River, Ledger, Kaysen, Sylas; sister, Roxanne (Chris) Bouck; brother, Harry (Joan) Kukla; several nieces and nephews. Kandy is preceded in death by her father, Harry Kukla; mother, Mary Hoekstra; brother Richard Kukla; sister, Teresa Kukla.
