Karen Louise Merritt, age 75, of Bitely passed away at her home on Friday, January 13, 2017. Karen was born on December 22, 1941, in Adrian, Michigan, to Kenneth B. and Inez Faye (Jones) Ansley and married Carl DeWayne Merritt on August 22, 1957, in Monroe, Michigan. Karen had worked many years at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility and enjoyed playing euchre, music, and spending time with her family.

Karen is survived by her husband, Carl; children, Carl (Collene) Merritt Jr. of Fremont, Julhi (Trae) Carlson of Allendale, Cynthia Merritt of White Cloud, Cheri (Gordon) Both of Arizona, Luke Merritt of Bridgeton, Amanda Merritt of White Cloud, and Lisa (Emil Jr.) Manka of Connecticut; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren; and brother, Edwin Ansley of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Faye Page and Elsa Hubbard; and brother, Richard Ansley.
