Eldred, Karl A. Karl A. Eldred, age 91 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont . He was born on February 9, 1911 in Traverse City , Michigan to Harry and Cora (Fuller) Eldred and moved to White Cloud at age 3. He graduated from White Cloud High School in 1929 and married Doris Dornbush in 1932. Doris preceded him in death in 1972. He later married Lois Mast on March 7, 1973 in White Cloud. Karl was a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church and had worked at the Newaygo County Road Commission and was a carpenter and served in the United States Army Air Corps as a Sergeant during World War II. Karl also enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, stamp collecting, railroads, Michigan football and mostly people. He was a Master Mason, member of the Kent City American Legion and White Cloud Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Lois of White Cloud; his children, Marilyn (Roger) Berry of Woodville; Lynnwood (Jan) Mast of White Cloud; Terry ( Sandy ) Mast of White Cloud; Ross (Susan) Mast of St. Charles, Illinois; Randy (Janis) Mast of Donaldsonville, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Robert Ellis and a granddaughter, Pamela. Funeral memorial services were held on Monday, December 23, 2002 from the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman of the White Cloud United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery .
