Katherine D. Holley, age 94 of Fremont, passed away Monday, January 08, 2001 at her home. She was born on August 16, 1906 in Fremont to Harry and Lena (Ott) Stroven and married Zeland Holley on December 31, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. Zeland preceded her in death on February 6, 1989. She has been a resident of the Fremont area since 1971 and had been a registered Nurse in a family practice. She graduated from the Rush Presbyterian School of Nursing. She was also a Red Cross Volunteer and member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Ralph) Gray of Fremont; Carolyn Elizabeth (James L.) Beyerlein of Kankakee, Illinois; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Keith (Margaret) Stroven of Fremont; one sister-in-law, Shirley Stroven of Fremont; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley H. Stroven on October 15, 2000. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 12, 2001 from the Fremont United Methodist Church with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. Friends may consider the Fremont Area Foundation Endowment Fund for either the Fremont United Methodist Church or Hospice of Michigan-Newaygo County.
