Kathleen J. Lagendyk, age 77 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Kathleen was born on July 12, 1934 in Grand Rapids to William H. and Caroline (VanSplintern) Hill and later married James F. Lagendyk on December 23, 1960 in Grand Rapids. Kathleen moved to Newaygo County in 1995 after her retirement as a bus driver for the Grand Rapids Public Schools in 1992. Kathleen enjoyed being in the Michigan outdoors, gardening, feeding and watching the birds, but especially treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her husband, James of White Cloud; her sons and grandchildren, Jim (Mary Lou) Lagendyk and their children, Carrie Jane, Jimmy, Katherine, Sarah, Jonathan of White Cloud; Michael (Patricia) Lagendyk and their children, Heather and Kristofer of White Cloud; her brothers, Bill (Phyllis) Hill of Moline; Ronnie (Donna) Hill of Rockford; many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded in death by her son, Steven Keller. VISITATION : Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
