Kathryn Myrtle Westcomb, age 71, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2002, in White Cloud. She was born on November 19, 1930, in Wilcox Township to Donald & Maude Giddings and married Leonard A. Westcomb 1st on December 6, 1948, in Muskegon. Leonard preceded her in death on December 16, 1984. She has been a long time resident of the White Cloud area where she was a homemaker and cook. She is survived by her children, William (Rhonda) Westcomb of White Cloud, Carl (Darlene) Westcomb of White Cloud, John L. (Val) Westcomb of Muskegon, Lloyd Westcomb of White Cloud, Leonard A. Westcomb II. of White Cloud, Rose (John K.) "Jack" McDonald of White Cloud, Sylvia (Don Amsley) Plotts of White Cloud, Wendy Hubbard of White Cloud, and Joann (Russ Every) Westcomb of Twin Lake; 23 grandchildren; 16 great--grandchildren; brothers Frank Giddings of Shelby, Earl Giddings of Shelby, and Carl Westcomb of Muskegon; sisters Laura Pretty of Shelby and Alice McGahan of Muskegon; brother-in-law Ted Tyler; and sister-in-law Louise Tyler of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by brothers Plummer Giddings and Earl Giddings; sisters Baby Maude, Mable Nichols, Adelade McGahan, and Iva Crabtree. The funeral services were held on Saturday, March 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White with Dr. Robert V. Gunnell presiding. Interment was in White Cloud Cemetery.
