Kay (Mary Katherine) Hall (Scott), aged 93 years, went peacefully home to the LORD on Friday, 03 January 2025, she was surrounded by her family throughout her last days and hours. She was a loving and loved mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie, of sixty-two years, and her son-in-law, Theodore "Ted" Haveman. She is survived by her son Leroy "Lee" (Sue), her daughters Sandra (Ted) Haveman, Paula (Simon) Hernandez, and Marilyn (Tim) Richardson, ten grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of the Living Christ where she had been a Sunday School Teacher, and was active in many other activities of the Church. She was well known for her children's sermons and her character "The Garden Lady." She engaged in a long career with Grant Public Schools and the Newaygo County Department of Social Services. The "crowning achievement" of her life, other than her wonderful role as wife and mother, was the publication of her book "Summer Vacation at Grandpa and Grandma's House," in her 93rd year. She was deeply loved and will be missed, but we all celebrate her life, and rest assured that she now lives joyfully with the LORD.

A memorial service to celebrate Kay's life will be held at the Church of the Living Christ in Fremont, MI, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 am, officiated by Thomas Jasperse. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kay's memory to True North's Children's Programs, supporting a cause close to her heart.

Arrangements are under the care of Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. Kay (Mary Katherine) Hall (Scott)'s life was a testament to her faith, dedication to family, and her love for her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
