Brown, Kenneth L. Kenneth L. Brown, age 68 of White Cloud and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Monday, February 16, 2004 at his home of cancer. He was born on July 24, 1935 in Grand Rapids to Lloyd and Naomi (Rogers) Brown and married Patricia Duncan in 1959 in Marne. Ken started work at the Kirkhoff Transformer Company in Grand Rapids and later at the Kenowa Public Schools in maintenance department until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed woodworking, carving realistic birds, fishing and was a life member of the Sparta Masonic Lodge F. & A.M. Ken was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife, of 45 years, Patricia of White Cloud; his children, Jill (Joe) Brown and Ginger (Roger) Wieringa of Conklin; Jenifer (Eric) Klein of Hudsonville; his mother, Naomi Palmer of Sparta; grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Sarah, David, Julie, Lauren, April, Rachel; his brothers, Loren Brown of the Upper Pennisula; Glenn and Lonnie Brown of Grand Rapids; his sisters, Bonnie Passage of Grand Rapids; Stella Boyde of Arizona; special friend, Nancy Tayler of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 11:00am at the White Cloud United Methodist Church. Friends may consider Hospice of Michigan for memorial contributions.
