Kenneth Cecil Deater, age 87, of Fremont went home to be with his Savior on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Kenneth was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 4, 1935, to Charles Albert and Lillian (Culhane) Deater and married Judee Jeane Eagles on July 6, 1957, in Rothbury. He was a tool setter for General Motors in Lansing and retired from GM after 30 plus years. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the great outdoors. Kenneth had a strong faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fremont.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Judee; children, Dennis Lee (Brenda) Deater of Muskegon, Denise Lynn (Randy) Pifer of Wellston, and Danny Ray Deater of Olivet; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Audrey Voorhees. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the First Baptist Church of Fremont. Visitation will be at the Church prior to the service starting at 10 AM. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fremont.
