Kenneth J. Elliott, age 66 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at his home. Ken was born on November 17, 1947 in Grand Rapids to James G. and LaVon Mae (Bush) Elliott and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1965. Ken has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area and had been a heavy equipment operator for Newkirk Electric for many years until his retirement. Ken was a member of the Woodville Community Church and the White Cloud Eagles, Aerie Post 4170 where he had served as treasurer. Ken enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, fishing, was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan and truly enjoyed living on the family homestead northeast of White Cloud. Ken is survived by his children, Regina DuPlanty of Grand Rapids; Tim Stillson of Grand Rapids; Mark (Rebecca Cleveland) Elliott of White Cloud; Michael (Kati) Elliott of Taylors, South Carolina; his daughter-in-law, Monique Elliott of Inman, South Carolina; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Jane Elliott; his brother, Raymond (Rebecca) Elliott of Brethren; his nephews, Tony (Hannah) Elliott; Damian (Lisa) Elliott; his niece, Krista McCumber; aunts, Hope (Kerry) Lynema; Evelyn Hult; his uncle, Bud (Marilyn) Bush; several cousins. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, James and LaVon; by his son, Chris Elliott and by his brother, Robert Elliott. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1pm at the White Cloud Eagles Lodge #4170 with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery following cremation. Friends may consider the White Cloud Eagles or the Woodville Community Church for memorial contributions in memory of Ken.
