Kenneth E. Schmidt, age 81, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, March 1, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. He was born on December 9, 1926, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to Elmer and Anna (Felbinger) Schmidt and was a Plasterer. He married Jeanette Payne on August 6, 1949, in Illinois and was a member of the Local #5 Plasterers Union in Chicago. Ken was an Army Veteran of WWII and member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont. Ken is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Fremont; daughters, Karen (John) Montney of White Cloud, and Diane (Tom) Perrin of McCook, Illinois; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment is in White Cloud Cemetery.
