Kenneth D. Simpkins Sr., age 66 of White Cloud, formerly of Taylor, Michigan, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon. Kenneth was born on July 25, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan and worked at Ford Motor Company until his retirement. Kenneth enjoyed collecting miniature cars and RC cars, enjoyed driving and being in the Michigan outdoors. Kenneth served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Lapworth of White Cloud; his son, Kenneth Simpkins Jr. of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Tiffany Lapworth, David Walker and Jessica Walker; his sisters, Pat (Harley) Cott of Manistique; Norma (Brad) Angus of Hale, Michigan; Mary (Jim) Foran of South Branch. Ken was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Don and Archie. Memorial services will be held at a later date following cremation.
