Kenneth R. Thomas, age 52 of Hesperia, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 following injuries received in an automobile accident. Ken was born on June 17, 1958 in Muskegon to George Raymond and Shirley J. (Brannam) Thomas and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area. Ken had worked at Frens Nursery and enjoyed gardening, animals, his grandchildren and family. Ken is survived by his children, Kristy R. Thomas (fianc, Bryan Gleason) of Muskegon; Kenneth A. Thomas of White Cloud; special friend, Elaine Cowley of Newaygo; his mother, Shirley (William) Newman of Hesperia; grandchildren, Joslyn, Savannah, Trevor, Kenneth Alan Jr.; Gage; brothers and sisters, Rick (Jenise) Thomas of Hesperia; Michael Thomas of Hesperia; Judith (Tom) ONeill of Hesperia; Cathy (Kirk) Griffes of Holland; Linda (Don) Penland of White Cloud; Lori (Jeff) Rumsey of Hesperia; Lisa Thomas of Hesperia; Steve Thomas of Hesperia; many nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ken was preceded in death by his father, George Raymond Thomas on May 21, 1994 and by his brother, Mark Thomas on April 27, 1981.
