Kenneth Raymond Towne, age 93 of Molalla, Oregon, formerly of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at his home in Oregon. Ken was born on January 18, 1926 in Winter, Wisconsin to Eugene Albert and Mary I. (Aishe) Towne and had served in the United States Army during World War II. Ken married his wife, Mildred in 1948 and Mildred preceded her in death in 1971. He later married Maurine J. Schmidt in 1972 in White Cloud and she preceded him in death in 2011. Ken had been a production worker at Michigan Plating and Stamping in Grand Rapids and later retired from Gerber Products Company. Ken had been a member of the White Cloud Church of God and enjoyed running. He had walked from Fremont to California and had rode his bicycle from Fremont to the Western coast of the United States through Washington State after retirement. Ken is survived by his daughter, Barbara LeCouteur of Molalla, Oregon; his step-son, David (Nancy) Craigmyle of White Cloud; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; his sister, Mary Gene Ogg of Florida; his brothers, Ronald Towne of Ketchikan, Alaska; Floyd Towne in White Cloud; his brother-in-law, Floyd Franklin of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his sister, Edith Franklin; brothers, Earl Towne and Ed Towne; sisters-in-laws, Gladys Towne and Bonnie Towne and brother-in-law, Don Ogg; VISITATION : Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 3pm – 4pm at the White Cloud Church of God Ministry Center 1621 S Evergreen Drive White Cloud MI 49349.
