Kent A. Scott, age 57 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his home. Kent was born on June 4, 1957 in Fremont to Raymond and Gladys (Tubergen) Scott and graduated from Fremont High School in 1975. Kent later married Jodie Bacon on February 24, 1978 in Fremont and had worked at Henry House in Holland as a machinist in the machine fabrication department. Kent has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area and enjoyed woodworking but especially enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren. Kent would often times take his beagle buddy, Kenric for walks and would occasionally be gone fishin Kent is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jodie of Fremont; his children, Jenna (Matthew) Louis of Fremont; Heath (Jennifer) Scott of Fremont; Audra (Kit) Powell of Fremont; his grandchildren, Mack and McLaren Louis; Makenna and Hayden Scott; Redick and Breven Powell; his mother, Gladys Scott of Fremont; sisters, Sue Vandenberg of Fremont; Linda (Bob) Haveman of Holland; Gail DeLong of Muskegon; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
