Kevin P. "HillBilly" Ramsey, age 65 of Hesperia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at his home. Kevin was born on June 17, 1954 in Beverly, Massachusetts to Norman Paul and Eileen Teresa (Szymanski) Ramsey. Kevin served in the United States Navy where he was a Seabee for 4 years until his honorable discharge. Kevin was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 100 where he worked as a union carpenter in construction until his retirement. Kevin moved to the Hesperia area in 1996 and later married Shannan R. Dutcher on July 28, 2008 in White Cloud. Kevin was a life member of the VFW #6805 in Browns Mills, New Jersey and a member of the Holton American Legion #397 where he was one of the "breakfast club" members. After retirement, Kevin took great pride in teaching his grandchildren about woodworking and the carpentry trade. Kevin enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowshoe tournaments and spending time with his family and friends. Kevin is survived by his wife, Shannan of Hesperia; his daughters, Amber (Charles) Johnson of Burlington Township, New Jersey; Taryn (Scott) Schriver of Monroeville, New Jersey; step daughters, Darchan Dutcher of Fremont; Teryan Dutcher of Hesperia; his grandchildren, George, Sydnie, Edward, Alexis, Scarlett, Amiah, Hazel and Violet; his foster parents, Everret and Sandy Rindfusz of Hesperia; several brothers and sisters; his mother-in-law, Coral Dutcher of Hesperia; his father-in-law, Jack (Lois) Dutcher of Hesperia; several other extended family members.
