McFeely, Laramie "Jim" Laramie "Jim" McFeely, age 73 of Brohman, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Jim was born on January 8, 1933 in Grand Rapids to Cecil and Hazel (Disbrow) McFeely and later married Carol Grooters on March 28, 1958 in Grand Rapids. Jim had worked at Malecki Music House in Grand Rapids as a shipping clerk for several years until he moved to the Brohman area in 1978. Jim was an active member of the Bitely Community Church and the former Brohman Bible Church where he had enjoyed playing the accordion. Jim enjoyed flea markets, wood carving and gardening and enjoyed listening to short wave radio. Jim also served in the United States Navy as a medic. Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol of Brohman; his children, Debbie (Hugh) Fowler of Milton, Florida; Dennis McFeely of Brohman; Linda (Robert) Smith of Fremont; Charles (Debi) McFeely of Sparta; Brian McFeely of Grand Rapids; his sister, Beverly (John) Becker of Grand Rapids. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Bitely Community Church in Bitely, Michigan.
