Larry Jay TerVeen of White Cloud passed away on November 27, 2020. Larry loved life and lived it fully. He loved having a beer with friends new and old, building big bonfires, driving his '69 convertible caddy, watching birds, fishing, driving around the lake on the pontoon, and towing tubers into the biggest waves. But most of all he loved his family and friends. Larry and Pat celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October with a trip to Niagara Falls revisiting their honeymoon location. They enjoyed all the tourist activities they didn't get to do their first time around when they were just starting out their life together as husband and wife. Their kids, Troy (Laura) and Kim (James), grew up with many adventures with their Dad like two-tracking, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, church youth group trips, and car shows. He always cheered them on at swimming meets and softball games and always made time to help them build a house, fix a car, or lend a hand in anyway. Many of these loving memories carried on with his grandkids. Morgan, Payton, and Zechariah were adored by their Grandpa. Together, they parasailed in Florida, fished in Canada, swam with dolphins in Punta Cana, tubed at the cottage, and loved their time together. His big love carried over to many extended family members and dear friends. He was always quick with a smile, big hug, funny one-liner, and was always available to help anyone. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Inspire Church in Fremont with Pastor Keith Schubert officiating. There will be visitation at the Church prior the the service starting at 11 AM. In the meantime, we can honor Larry by taking a drive on a back road, helping someone, sharing a smile, or having a beer. His big heart and personality will be deeply missed by many family and friends. Friends may consider memorial contributions to TrueNorth Community Services Food Truck Program in memory of Larry.
