Larry E. Welch, age 84 of Grand Rapids and White Cloud passed away on January 30, 2018. Larry was born on September 29, 1933 in Grand Rapids to Joseph and Johanna (Alber) Welch. Larry ran the family owned Industrial Finishing Company for over 40 years and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Larry's days started out whistling. He loved hunting, snowmobiling, traveling, gambling, shuffleboard, his Kesslers and Coke, good music, giving to others, and laughter. Following retirement, he spent weekends making wonderful memories at the Diamond Lake cottage. Larry is survived by 9 children; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; and sister, Bea Bement. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Charles Welch; mother, Johanna Marie Welch; and brother, Donald Charles Welch. A Memorial mass will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud.
