Laurin Clive Yager, Age 70, of Holton passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Mercy Health in Muskegon. Laurin was born on August 16, 1948, in Muskegon to Emanuel Jennings and Evelyn Mae (Casteel) Yager and married Mary Bell Strait on March 4, 1967, in Holton. Laurin was a Pastor for many years, but also was a certified contractor and truck driver. Laurin loved his family and cherished all his friendships. Laurin was a member of the Oak Crest Church of God in Muskegon. Laurin is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Michael Laurin (Jodi) Yager of South Bend, Indiana and Tracy Adam Yager of Holton; brothers and sisters, Srean J. (Donna) Yager of Muskegon, Judith Yager of Holton, Rosetta (Jens) Eskildsen of Muskegon, Emma (Harry) Armstrong of Muskegon, Marcella Yager of Muskegon, and Mennen W. Yager of Muskegon; grandchildren, Dirk (Erica), Derrick, Michael Robert Laurin, Kody (Ciera), and Collin; great grandson, Carter; many special nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Leon H. Yager, Richard Yager, Mannie Yager, Eloda Yager, and Edith D'Angelo. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at the Oak Crest Church of God in Muskegon (1540 Leonard Ave. Muskegon, MI 49442) with Pastor Robert Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held at the Church prior to the service starting at 11 AM. Interment will be in Clark Cemetery near Fremont. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
