Lawrence F. Bisson Sr., age 87, of Hesperia passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. He was born on April 2, 1917, to Napoleon and Malvina (Laurin) Bisson and married Yolanda Longoni on July 9, 1938, in Muskegon. Lawrence was a retired machine repairman at Gerber Products Co. and a Marine veteran of WWII. He was a life member of the Newaygo V.F.W. and member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Surviving are his children, Dr. Marianne Erickson and her fianc Michael Meinhold of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Janice (Robert) Yost of Barryton, Michigan, Mrs. Kathleen (Jerold) Stratton of Hesperia, Patrick (Sandra) Bisson of Flushing, Michigan, and Lawrence (Peggy) Bisson Jr. of Grant; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grand children; 1 great grand-child; and beloved nephew Byron Kartes of Hesperia along with several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Yolanda in 1998, 7 sisters, and 1 brother. Funeral services were held on Saturday from Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia.
