Lawrence "Larry" N. Truschke, age71 of Bitely, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Big Rapids Fields Assisted Living Center in Big Rapids. Larry was born on August 6, 1950 in Harvey, Illinois to Lawrence and Ruth (Smedley) Truschke and had worked for IBM in Chicago as a customer engineer until his retirement. Larry married Nancy (Higgins) Miklusak and they moved to the Bitely area in 2014 from Chicago where he enjoyed hunting, building, restoring and racing cars; riding motorcycles, and traveling. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. Larry is survived by his wife, Nancy; stepchildren, Alison (Joe) Adams; Lori Miklusak; TJ Miklusak; step grandchildren, Jordan (Jon) Walls; Jarhett Adams; Joie Adams; step great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Blakely; his sister, Linda (Smokey) Falcon. Private services will be held at the family home in the summer of 2022. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Larry.
