LD Zech, age 83, of Newaygo, passed away at Spectrum Health - Gerber Memorial on September 7, 2011. Born on September 25, 1927, in Grand Rapids, he retired from the Grand Rapids Fire Department after 33 years, and served on the Newaygo Fire and Brooks Township Tax Review Boards. LD is survived by: his wife, Gerry; sons, Dave and Jim; and sisters, Juanita, and Jean. At his request, there will be no services.
