Lee Ray McCauley, age 83, of Fremont, formerly of Adrian, passed away on Thursday, June 5, at Transitional Health Services. He was born on May 23, 1925, in Detroit to Guy L. and Mable (Drew) McCauley Sr.. Lee was a WWII veteran serving with distinction in both the Navy and the Army in the 82nd Airborne Division, and was a carpenter by trade. Lee was a lifetime member of Adrian VFW Annis-Fint Post #1584 and a lifetime member of AMVETS. He follows in death, Jean Blaker of Adrian and is survived by her children, Dick and Tammy Butts, Donny Blaker Jr., Jack and Barb Blaker, Debbie and Dan Dusseau, Steve and Delight Bowerman, David and Debbie Blaker; 29 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Lee is also survived by his children, Mike, Dena, Tim and Guy McCauley; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and half brother, Edward A. Krause. Full Military memorial services were held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Adrian VFW Annis-Fint Post #1584, where Lee was a Past Commander.
