Len Joseph Smith Sr. age 56 of Hesperia, passed away following a short illness at his home, surrounded by his family. Len was born on July 21, 1960 in Grand Rapids to Gerald and Lois (O'Neil) Smith and later married Kimberly Davis on October 8, 1983 in Muskegon Heights. Len was a quality specialist at GE Aviation in Muskegon where he has worked for the past 30 years. He has been a resident of the Hesperia area for the past 23 years and enjoyed camping, swimming, being in Michigan outdoors, was well known for his practical jokes, but truly treasured his wife, children and grandchildren.

Len is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim of Hesperia; his children, Len (Amber) Smith II of Muskegon; Jacob Smith of Muskegon; Dylan Smith of Muskegon; Bryce (Caitlin) Smith of Hesperia; Jake Smith of Hesperia; Joanna Smith of Hesperia; his grandchildren, Laynce and Madisyn; his parents, Gerald and Lois Smith of Muskegon; his sisters and brothers, Jerry Smith of Muskegon; Carla (Jeff) Benson of Ravenna; Clark (Tammy) Smith of Muskegon; Clair (April) Smith of Fremont; Laretta (Rick) Hill of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. Len was preceded in death by his daughter, Olyvia Smith in 2002 and by his brother, Buzz Smith in 2014.
