Leni Johnson, age 82 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at her home following a long illness. Leni was born on July 3, 1929 in Stockholm, Germany to Henrich and Ellie (Schafer) Hild. Leni married Wayne Johnson on December 21, 1973 in Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas and together they moved to the White Cloud area in 1995 from Georgia. Leni had been a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, watching and feeding the wildlife in her yard including, birds, deer, and turkeys. Leni enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending time at her brother-in-laws home at Crepin Lake. Leni was a member of the Freedom Bible Church in Fremont. Leni is survived by her husband of 39 years, Wayne of White Cloud; her son, Gene (Sherrill) Stamps of White Cloud; stepsons, Wayne Johnson Jr. of Shelby; John (Wendi) Johnson of Bonaire, Georgia; her grandchildren, Walter, Erica, Bradley, and Amy; her great grandchildren, Zachary, Mason, Patrick, Megan, Blake and Danielle; her sisters, Erna Anna Prinz of Frankfort, Germany; Ingeborg Inge Schwanz of Frankfort, Germany; Mary Anne Downey of Columbus, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Heini Hild and Walter Hild and by her step son, William Bill Johnson. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with a time of visitation from 11:30-1 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Bushen of the Freedom Bible Church presiding .
