Leon Harvey Yager, age 64 of Rockford formerly of Holton, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Harvey was born on April 16, 1951 in Fremont to Emanuel Jennings and Evelyn Mae (Casteel) Yager. Harvey had been a welder in the construction industry until his retirement. Harvey was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the United States Army. He had enjoyed hunting, camping, driving the country roads and simply being in the Michigan Outdoors. Harvey is survived by his sisters and brothers, Srean (Donna) Yager of Muskegon; Judith Yager of Holton; Laurin (Mary) Yager of Holton; Rosetta (Jens) Eskildsen of Muskegon; Emma (Harry) Armstrong of Muskegon; Marcella Yager of Muskegon; Mennen Yager of Holton; many nieces and nephews. Harvey was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers, Edith DAngelo, Richard Yager Sr., Mannie Yager, and Eloda Yager. FUNERAL SERVICES with MILITARY RITES : Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Clark Cemetery.
