Burdziak, Leonard S. Leonard S. Burdziak, age 68 of White Cloud, formerly of Ypsilanti, passed away Friday, November 25, 2005 at his home in White Cloud. Leonard was born on September 2, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Wasyl and Eleanor (Daniel) Burdziak and later married Geraldine Bates in 1983 in Ypsilanti. He had worked in the skilled trades department at the General Motors Company in Ypsilanti until his retirement in 1989. Leonard moved to the White Cloud area from Ypsilanti and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and boating. He was also an avid golfer and played in the Union golf league, a General Motors golf league and also a local golf league. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Bates of White Cloud; his children, Guy (Janet) Burdziak of Lathan, Arizona and his children, Daniel and Ryan Burdziak; Edward Bates of White Cloud; Joy Bates (Greg) Gilkey of Kent City and her daughter, Taylor Gilkey; 1 great grandchild, Christian Burdziak; his sister, Irene Koziel of Detroit. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Burdziak and by 5 brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. Interment is at Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the American Heart Association for memorial contributions in memory of Leonard.
