Leonard Lee Jones Sr., age 71, of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at his home. Leonard was born on April 9, 1940 in White Cloud to Theodore and Mary (Knapp) Jones and married Valeta Ann Wallace on August 22, 1959. He later married Janet Addis on May 3, 1997, in White Cloud. Leonard had worked for the White Cloud Public Schools and had served on the Big Prairie Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and was an exceptional story teller. Leonard is survived by his wife, Janet of White Cloud; children, Leonard (Rosemary) Jones Jr. of White Cloud, Lorry (Bob) Austin of White Cloud, and Deana Jones of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Theodore L. (Dorothy) Jones of Sparta; brother in law, Gary Herfert of Metamora, MI; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Valeta in 1997; son, Larry L. Jones in 2010; and sister Bonnie Herfert. There will be visitation on Thursday, July 21, 2011, from 5 8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday at the Funeral Home with interment in Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
