Van Camp, Leota L. Leota Lee Van Camp, age 81 of Fremont , passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at her home. She was born on July 21, 1921 in Walkerville , Michigan to Claude and Lynnie (Goodrich) Sortor and later married Robert Van Camp in Walkerville. She has been a lifelong resident of the Fremont area where she had been a production worker at Gerber Products Company in Fremont for many years until her retirement in 1980. She had also been active in the Women of the Moose in Fremont and enjoyed sewing. She is survived by her children, Sue (Jack) Hirsch of Fremont; Vada (Gus) Mann of Newaygo; Bill Van Camp of Fremont; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Altha Ashcroft, her brother, Oakie Sortor, and her granddaughter, Toni Lee Bulson, and grandson, Justin A. Hirsch Funeral services were held on Friday, September 13, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Celebrant Richard A. Crandell presiding with interment in the Jewell Cemetery in Dayton Township . Friends may consider the Toni Lee Bulson Childrens Memorial Fund for memorial contributions.
