LeRoy J. DuPont Sr., age 81 of Holton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. LeRoy was born on August 19, 1940 in Escanaba, Michigan to Felix A. and Ruby Marie (Gagnon) DuPont. LeRoy had been a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area and he moved back to the Holton area in 2015.. He had been a cabinet maker for many years and had worked at Style Trend Kitchen and Bath in Muskegon and later retired from Modular Systems in Fruitport. LeRoy had served in the United States Navy and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, country rides and going out for dinner. LeRoy is survived by his children, LeRoy J. DuPont Jr. of Fruitport; Heather K. (Kenneth) Kelly of Holton; his grandchildren, Ashely (Cory) Fisher; Alexandria DuPont; Kensley Kelly; Kourtlyn Kelly; his great grandchildren, Dravyn Roberts, Remington DuPont, Oakley Fisher, Cordelia Fisher; several nieces and nephews. LeRoy was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon DuPont; his mother, Ruby M. (DuPont) Poquette; his fathers, Felix A. DuPont and Joseph L. Poquette; his sister, Yvonne Marie Fethke; his brothers, Phillip J. DuPont and William L. DuPont. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Holton American Legion 9150 Holton Road Holton MI 49425 with a luncheon to be provided and Military Honors given at 1:00 pm at the Holton American Legion. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of LeRoy.
