Obituary

Leslie L. Hile, age 75 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his home following a lingering illness. Les was born on February 5, 1935 in Muskegon to Lawrence W. and Gladys A. (Reynolds) Hile. He moved to Fremont at a young age and graduated from Fremont High School in 1953. Les married Linda Matthews on June 20, 1953 in Fremont. He started work at the Brunswick Corporation in Muskegon as a machinist and retired as a pipefitter in 1991. Les enjoyed working in his garage, fixing anything and everything that was broke. He enjoyed remodeling, home repair and working with his hands. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda of Fremont; his children, Sandra (David) Beattie of Holton; Larry Hile of Fremont; Sherri (Dean) Nieboer of Fremont; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marjorie Hile of Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Seth Beattie; brothers, Anson and Bill Hile; sisters, Tressa, Emily, and Gladys; nephew, Billy Hile. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 15, 2010 from Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with interment in the eeman Cemetery. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, friends are asked to consider Heartland Hospice or Holton United Methodist Church.
