Lettie L. Quick, age 90 of Bitely, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Lettie was born on April 23, 1918 in Walkerville, Michigan to Alfred and Susan (Green) Smith and met and later married Clarence Richard Quick on July 18, 1937 in Volney. Clarence Richard preceded her in death on February 4, 1980. Lettie has been a lifelong resident of the Bitely area where she had been a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Mildred Anderson of Bitely; her sons, Burnice Arthur Quick of Bitely; Jeffrey Quick of Bitely; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her sisters, Ruby Wright of Hesperia; Betty Sokilowski of Bitely; her brother, William (Zee) Smith of Cedar Springs; her daughter-in-law, Erica Quick of Bitely; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sons, Howard Quick, Richard Lee Quick, and William Willis Quick; and her son-in-law, David Anderson. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and private memorial services will be held at a later date with interment of the cremated remains in the Troy Township Cemetery.
