Lewis Ellis Kemp, age 40, passed away on Thurday, May 9, 2002, at Spectrum Health Services Downtown Campus. He was born on December 9, 1961, in Detroit to Robert and Dorothy (Love) Kemp. Lewis was a construction worker. Lewis is survived by his mother Dorothy Kemp of Newaygo; sisters, Sharon (Phranschar) McPherson and children Felicia (Jamie Ward) & Chanda, Jackie Wicker and children Marquise and Katrice, Fiancee, Deidra Turner and children Michelle, Alexa, Brian and Eddrena; and many special relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Kemp on August 19, 2000. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at the Big Prairie Community Church with Rev. Arnie Guikema officiating.
