Lewis John Sokolowski, age 52 of Walkerville, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Spectrum Health –Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following a short illness. Lewis was born on February 5, 1964 in Hart to Frank and Betty Jane (Smith) Sokolowski and later married Crindia Sutton on August 9, 1986 in Bitely. Lewis graduated from Walkerville High School and has been an associate at Walmart – Store number1791 in Fremont for the past 19 years. Lewis enjoyed hunting, camping, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Lewis is survived by his wife of 30 years, Crindia of Walkerville; his children, Olivia Sokolowski (Trevor Roblin) of Grand Rapids; Jessica Sokolowski (Michael Parsons) of Walkerville; Roy Sokolowski II of Ionia; 3 grandchildren, Eugene Parsons, Dreyden Rudi, and Kazden Murchison; his brothers and sisters, Jacob (Deb) Sokolowski of Midland, Pennsylvania; Mitchell (Elaine) Sokolowski of Muskegon; Joseph (Linda) Sokolowski of Hesperia; Frank (Vickie) Sokolowski of Twin Lake; Roy (Susan) Sokolowski of Whitehall; Arthur (Sherri) Sokolowski of Montague; Mark (LuAnne) Sokolowski of Bitely; Edward Sokolowski of Bitely; Andrew (Caren) Sokolowski of Linden; Linda (John) Cook of Montague; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Virginia Sutton of Twin Lake; his Walmart Family at store #1791; his little dog, Trixie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Betty Sokolowski; 2 brothers, Timmy and Tommy; his father-in-law, James Sutton; his nephew Josiah Sutton.

VISITATION : Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1pm at the Amazing Grace Acres Church 762 W Woodland Park Dr, Bitely, MI 49309. INTERMENT : Volney Cemetery in the Spring of 2017. MEMORIAL CONTRIBTIONS : to the Lewis Sokolowski Family to assist with expenses.
