Obituary

Sharp, Lillian M. Lillian M. Sharp, age 75 of Newaygo passed away Thursday, May 22, 2003 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. She was born on October 15, 1927 in Cadillac to Art and Goldie (Porter) Castle and married Harold G. Sharp on March 15, 1947 in Big Rapids. Harold preceded her in death on May 18, 1998 . Lillian has been a resident of the Newaygo area since 1947 where she had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Newaygo V.F.W Sportsmans Post Ladies Auxiliary, had served as treasurer for the Emerald/Sylvan Lake Association for 54 years until her recent retirement. She had been a volunteer librarian at the Daisy Brooks Schools , enjoyed ceramics, Bingo, traveling with her husband and her fellowship with the residents of the Emerald/Sylvan Lake area. She is survived by her children, Rick (Cynthia) Sharp of Newaygo; Gary (Lisa) Sharp of Newaygo; Lori (Brad) Chupp of Yaak, Montana; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Arlene (Fred) DeMint of Crossville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Buck (Dee) Sharp of Newaygo; special friends, Gary & Lisa Keyes and Family of Newaygo; James Ryan of Howell, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold on May 18, 1998 and a a sister, Beverly Vaughn. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with interment in the Newaygo Cemetery .
