Lillie Marie Willis, age 77, of Fremont passed away Thursday, December 21, 2000, at home following a long illness. She was born on July 22, 1923, in Indiana to Jack and Gladys (Resler) Thompson and married Paul D. Willis on June 24, 1968, in Redkey, Indiana. She worked at Howmet until retirement. Lillie was a member of the Fremont Assembly of God Church in Fremont and was an evangelist since the age of 28. She is survived by her loving children Theodora J. (Jerry L.) Snyder of Fremont, Timothy E. (Sally) Sweany of Fremont, Tony Ray (Mary Jo) Sweany of Hayes, Virginia, and Tamara K. Hall (Jim) Romine of Big Star Lake; 9 grandchildrenldren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Ruth Starky of Muncie, Indiana and Mary (Cecil) Davis of Winchester, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Willis on June 8, 1992. Funeral Services were held on Thursday December 28, 2000, from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with Pastor Roger Coalter presiding with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery.
