Linda Joyce Newton, age 82, of White Cloud, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her home. Born on July 18, 1942, in Huntington County, Indiana, Linda was the daughter of Hersil and Helen Scott. She married David Lee Newton on September 17, 1969, in Big Rapids, beginning a partnership filled with love and shared adventures.

Linda dedicated many years of her career as a legal secretary before embarking on 33-years at R.S.V.P. in Big Rapids, where she retired. A woman of varied passions, she found joy in reading, caring for her animals, and in her earlier years, soaring through the skies as a pilot—a passion likely sparked by her family's ownership of an airport and farm in Indiana, where aviation was part of her heritage. Linda and her family also cherished their time on the water, often cruising the Muskegon River where they created countless memories surrounded by nature's beauty.

Linda is survived by her children: Linda (John) Toniolo of Chicago, Dawn (Robert) LeDuc of Rapid River, and David Newton of White Cloud, as well as several cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David.
