Lisa Marie Smith, age 43, of Brohman passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at Corewell Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Lisa was born on March 27, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, to Michael David and Catherine Alicia (Ridley) Ray and married Bryan Jason Smith on June 23, 2007, in White Cloud. Lisa was a special needs educator at the White Cloud Schools, coached baseball, and was the team mom for basketball and football. Lisa enjoyed gardening and cooking but her greatest achievement was her children and family. Lisa is survived by her husband, Bryan; sons, Sean Lee Smith and Kevyn Michael Smith; parents, Catherine (Robert) Behrends of White Cloud and Michael (Kimberly) Ray of Illinois; brothers and sisters, Michael J. (Amanda) Ray, Travis L. (Amanda) Behrends, Carrie E. Behrends, Sarah Ray, Scott Ray, and Rebecca Ray; her White Cloud School family, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ryan C. Behrends. A Celebration of Life for Lisa will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the White Cloud Elementary School.
