Lisle Meyer, age 100, of White Cloud passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2001, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. He was born on June 5, 1901, in Livingston County, Michigan, to Henry and Bertha (Aerhorn) Meyer and married Zelma Goodrich on November 11, 1927, in White Cloud. He worked for the Newaygo County Road Commission for many years and was a former Chief of the White Cloud Fire Department. He operated a garage in White Cloud and retired from the White Cloud Public School System as a school bus driver. He is survived by 3 daughters, Carol (Gordon) Lovell of Monet, Missouri, Wilda (Louis) Fetterley of Kent City, and Donna (Marvin) Fowler of White Cloud; 8 grandchildren; 15 great--grandchildren; brother Raymond Meyer of Fremont; sisters, Lois (Karl) Eldred of White Cloud and Leona Ackerman of Big Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Zelma in 1983, sisters, Eva and Elsie Meyer, and brother Vernon Meyer. Funeral services on Thursday, December 27 at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in White Cloud with Rev. Jerry Jaquish officiating.
