Lloyd J. Hoppa, age 60 of Newaygo, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at the Metron Nursing Center in Big Rapids. He was born on March 18, 1943 in Fremont to John and Cecile Mae (Wright) Hoppa and had been a student. He has lived at the Dallas Darling Home for the past several years. He is survived by his sisters, Dorothea (James) Ford of Amarillo, Texas; Lena Mosher of Fremont; Mary Sherman of Gladwin; Margaret Yerkie of Muskegon; Nina Cheney of Blackduck, Minnesota; Sandra Dolan of Boulder Creek, California; Shelby Pape of Mt. Olive, Illinois; Josephine Artlip of Rapid City, South Dakota; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Strom on September 2, 2001 . Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Charles Jones presiding with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery .
