Lloyd Carl Salacina, age 91, of Newaygo, passed away on Sunday, November 17, at the Brook of Newaygo. Lloyd was born on July 27, 1933, to Carl and Anna (Sokolowski) Salacina, and married Peggy Jean Salacina on October 5, 1951. Lloyd worked at Sand Mold Systems Inc. for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, hunting, fishing, and his cat, Sparky. He cherished time spent with family and friends.

Lloyd is survived by his son Terry (Linda) Salacina of Alpena; grandson Mikhail (Emily) Salacina of Grant and his mother Brenda Salacina-Burgess; and sisters Ruby Kuhns and Joy Barton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy, brothers Adolph Salacina, Henry Salacina, Charles Salacina, and Carl Salacina and sisters Rosie Salacina Hansel and Betty Salacina Neibarger.

There will not be any services at this time. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the Newaygo High School Athletic Department.
