Lois A. Heykoop, age 69 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Lois was born on February 14, 1942 in Muskegon, Michigan to Francis Lyle and Hannah Alida (Crawford) Scott. Lois married David A. Touzel and he preceded her in death. She later married David L. Heykoop and he preceded her in death. Lois had been a home health aide for several years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fremont. Lois enjoyed going to yard sales, going to the beach and the ocean, enjoyed helping others with a servants heart and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Lois is survived by her son, Scott (Rebecca) Touzel of Bridgeton; her step children, Roxanne (Dan) Russell; Rodney Heykoop; Brian (Wanda) Heykoop; Cheryl (Dan) VanNeuren; Steven Jones; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brothers, Harold (Anita) Scott of Bridgeton; Ronald (Viola Mikie) Scott; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11am at the First Baptist Church in Fremont with a visitation from 10-11am at the church. Interment will be at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Muskegon following cremation.
