Lois G. Van Dyke, age 86 of Fremont, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 8, 2023 following a short decline in her health. Lois was born on November 17, 1936 in Holton Township to Sigfrid and Leona (Buck) Hendrickson and graduated from Fremont High School. Lois married William "Bill" Van Dyke on December 10, 1954 in Fremont and Bill preceded her in death on May 1, 2018. Lois had been the personal secretary for Dan and Dorothy Gerber for many years and later became the Vice President of the Cloetingh Insurance in Muskegon until her retirement. Lois was a member of the Newaygo United Methodist Church where she had been the organist for many years and had played the organ at various churches in the area as well. Lois enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening, spending time with her family and riding her John Deere lawnmower. Lois is survived by her son, Mark Van Dyke of Fremont; her grandchildren, Ryan Van Dyke; David Van Dyke; Sandra Van Dyke; Brennan Van Dyke; Mariah Van Dyke; her great grandchildren, Audri Van Dyke; Joshua Van Dyke; Jenna Van Dyke; Justin Oliver. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her sons, Kevin Van Dyke in 1968; Kent Van Dyke in 1989; Troy Van Dyke in 1994; Dale Van Dyke in 2021; her daughter, Karla Van Dyke; her granddaughter, Christina J. Oliver in 2009 and her, niece, Karen Hull in 2016.
