Lois Marie Yob, age 74 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at her home. Lois was born on May 8, 1936 in Muskegon to Elwood and Lena (Schillaci) Carlston. Lois was part of the first graduating class of Muskegon Catholic Central High School and later married Edward Yob on August 7, 1965 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Muskegon. Lois had worked at Continental Motors in Muskegon for 12 years and then was a homemaker and daycare provider in her home for several years. Lois was an active member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Lois enjoyed playing bingo, cooking where she was well known for her baking of pies, had enjoyed traveling and bowling in her younger years and was known for her generosity and kind heartedness. Lois greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. Lois is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ed of Hesperia; her son, Roger (Cheryl) Yob of Clare, Michigan; her daughter, Kathy (Troy) Stewart of Traverse City; her grandchildren, Kayla, Emily and Ben Yob; Ella, Jada and Trey Stewart; her brothers, Jack (Donna) Carlston of Norton Shores; Leroy Carlston of Norton Shores; Don Carlston of Norton Shores; her sister, Darleen Bell of Spring Lake; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Firlit in 1984. VISITATION : Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 from 2 4pm & 6- 8pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. ROSARY SERVICES : Tuesday at 7:30pm at the funeral home. MASS OF RESSURECTION : Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 at 12pm at Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. INTERMENT : St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Brunswick. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Renucci Hospitality House at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Michigan Special Olympics or Muskegon Catholic Central High School.
