Lorraine Leslie Geigle, age 96 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. Lorraine was born on August 8, 1925, in Grand Rapids to Leslie Prescott and Laura Lorraine (Bell) Jennings and married Frederick Edward Geigle on April 24, 1948, in Grand Rapids. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids and enjoyed sewing, baking, reading, and was active in the Grand Rapids American Legion Post #258 Auxiliary. Lorraine is survived by her children, Gary Frederick (Dawn Renae) Geigle of White Cloud and Deborah Lorraine (Thane Barden) Coombs of Hudsonville; grandchildren, Gary (Nicole) Geigle Jr., Mike (Jeni Buchanan) Geigle, Lydia Geigle, Tracy (Marty) VanHeulen, Carrie (Brad) Columb, Katie (Mark) Crego, and Betsy Barden; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Reece, Landon, Brooke, Paisley, Knox, Brayden, Paige, Michael Anthony, Mya, and Grayson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick in 2015 and sister and brother-in-law, Ilene (Richard) DeWildt. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Monday, May 2, 2022, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Larry Kirkpatrick officiating. There will be a time of visitation to greet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.
