Lorrieann Marie Merchant, age 59 of Bitley and Wolverine, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2023 at the Corewell Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Lorrieann was born on May 22, 1964 in Flint to Kenneth Jesse and Janet Marie (Hartman) Stock and later moved to Gilbert Arizona where she graduated from Gilbert High School and later attended the Royal College of Beauty and Cosmetology. Lorrieann later moved back to Michigan and met Dale Merchant and they have been together 21 years and were married on July 12, 2010 in Cheboygan. Lorrie had been a homemaker and took great joy in raising her children and being involved in their lives. Lorrieann always put others needs above her own and enjoyed volunteering in the community and at churches. Lorrieann enjoyed watching older Disney movies, going for car rides to have ice cream and flower gardening. Lorrieann was a member of the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Bitely where her husband Rev. Dale is pastor. Lorrieann is survived by her husband, Rev. Dale Merchant; her children and grandchildren, daughter - Amanda Merchant of Cheboygan and her children, Ricky and Zoe; son - Scott (Lisa) Merchant of Hudsonville; daughter - Jesse Assaf (Chuck Pellenz) of Indian River and their children, Cameron Kettel, Jeremy Kettel and Corbin Pellenz; son - Peter Fernandez of Wolverine; 1 child that Lorrieann adopted out at their birth; her sisters and brothers, Charles Stock, Anthony Stock, James Stock, Theresa Stock; several nieces and nephews. Lorrieann was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Janet Stock and her brothers, Timothy Stock and Matthew Stock. Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and a time of VISITATION will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10am – 11am at the Amazing Grace Acres Church 762 W. Woodland Park Drive Bitely MI 49309 with a MEMORIAL SERVICE on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11am with a time of fellowship to follow at the church. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Indian River.
