Louise Ann Shinew, age 86, of Newaygo, Grant and Fremont, passed away peacefully on  March 2, 2024 at the Brook Assisted Living Center in Newaygo.  Louise was born on January 25, 1938 in Grant, Michigan to Carlton and Marie (Plumoff) Zerlaut and graduated from Grant High School in 1956.  Louise later received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree and had been an LPN at Pine Medical Health in Fremont for 35 years until her retirement in 2010.   Louise met and married Raymond Dell Shinew on June 23, 1956 at the Casnovia Baptist Church in Bailey and Ray preceded her in death on June 20, 2018.   Louise was member of the Family of God Church in Newaygo and enjoyed traveling, flower gardening and flowers and was well known for her china painting abilities.

Louise is survived by her children, Theron (Kim) Shinew of Rainbow Lake; Terry (Deb) Shinew of Barryton, Michigan; Todd (Shelley) Shinew of Grand Haven; Tracey (Daryl) Dowker of Zeeland; 9 grandchildren, Teresa DePew; Jenny (Riley) Justis; Matt (Lacey) Shinew; Melanie (Nick) VandenBrink; Genecia (Jon) Mejeur; Darcy (Andrew) Shinew-Howe; Tiffany (Mitch James) Shinew; Marissa Dowker; Nolan Dowker; 16 great grandchildren; her sister, Lavon Guerne of Grant; her brothers, Carroll (Diane) Zerlaut of Grant; Joseph (Pat) Zerlaut of Grant.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray.

VISITATION : March 23, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Family of God Community Church 90 Quarterline Street Newaygo MI 49337  CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES : Saturday,  March 23, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the Family of God Community Church  INTERMENT : Private family services will be held at the Clark Cemetery in Fremont.
